Yup. The very chapter they use to disprove the trinity is the very chapter/book that gives much weight to the idea. Jesus created all things. Jehovah created all things. The spirit created all things. After col, read John again and see it talked about even stronger. Nothing that was created was created without Jesus. Nothing... That includes Jesus himself. He was not created.

Why does JW.org need a registered trademark?
by cedars ini've just noticed that the logo for jw.org is a registered trademark.. this is how the logo appears on the back cover of the new magazines.... .
maybe i'm overthinking this, but i'm struggling to understand why a website for a religious organization that purports to be involved in not-for-profit educational work needs to register a trademark for its website.
a trademark is something commercial companies use to protect their goods or services.

The letter is the box logo look a lot like adobes creative suite logos. I assume they will have a new logo for everything and not just the jw.borg site. They will probably all be similar to this logo and all the logos will need to be trademarked. It's not the site that is trademarked, just the logo.

Daily Bible Reading and some thoughts
by metaspy inok, i have been doing some daily bible reading because it was recommended to me.
basically to try to eliminate my pts (post traumatic stress) of the bible by confronting it.
(and trust me there is plenty of flashbacks and memories associated with certain scriptures).

Good advise jgnat. At face value some scriptures do sound wrong and scary. But when all things are taken into consideration (history,culture,context,and language) the myths are quite easily dispelled.

NC, I do see your point, sort of. But my question is based on numerous threads where mp insulted the Jews. While they did do things that were wrong in the past, I don't think the bible advocated it. It relates history. To ask if I still beat my wife assumes that I DID beat my wife at one time. What I asked was closer to "do you beat your wife"
like I said, poor choice of words on my part. But I was trying to show mp the implications of what he was saying.

Perhaps anti semmetic was a poor choice of word, NC. But if one was to call all current Jews and their understandings today "racist", would that be an anti semmetic statement?
when the movie "passion of the Christ" came out, it was decried as an anti semmetic movie because of showing what the bible teaches that the Jews did. This wasn't talking about CURRENT Jews but still labeled as anti semmetic.
